Building Blocks for Diversity - Certificate Series I

This three-part series is a level-one compilation of workshops where participants learn the importance of diversity at MSU.

  • Part One:  Participants take an indepth look at their personal level of understanding, awareness, respect and behavior toward different cultural groups.
  • Part Two:  Participants are helped to recognize that everyone has biases and are taught to understand how biases effect productivity in the workplace.
  • Part Three: Using the 2006 Academy Award winning film "CRASH", participants engage in discussions about the impact of the intersections between race, culture, socioeconomic status, national origin and gender.

Classes may be taken separately, however to receive the series certificate, participants must attend all three classes in sequential order.
